The primary reason for writing anything is to communicate with others, to stimulate interest or action from the reader. I write it because there is some lie that I want to expose, some fact to which I want to draw attention, and my initial concern is to get a hearing. Dr. Shalamon Duke writes books, which, considering where you’re reading this, makes perfect sense. He’s best known for writing children’s books and poetry and will release his real-life memoir July 2023. He also writes on subjects regarding community college students, Black men, and mental health.
